Overview of Project Management Process: Base-level/Minor Capital Projects

As trusted vendors of DCC, we were contracted in 2023 to develop a training package for Project and Program Managers to learn the organization-specific process of leading and managing Base-level projects contracted by National Defence Canada.

A five-phase process is outlined using process flow charts that are custom-made and interactive. With a vast amount of new terms and acronyms, learners are able to click on highlighted terms to get just-in-time explanations of their meaning. Learners are able to follow an established flow through each module, or they can engage with the content in a format that suits their learning needs.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply project management principles to unique projects and their phases.
  • Execute project management processes aligned to performance domains in each phase of a project.
  • Consider project management as a system when tailoring processes, approaches, documentation, and decisions to a unique project.
