Lead Certified Instructional Designer

Brittany is a Canadian Certified Instructional Designer with over 15 years of experience in education. She brings a deep understanding of adult learning principles to every project, ensuring that instructional materials are relevant, learner-centred, and grounded in real-world application. Her approach is guided by her expertise in learner analysis, assessment design and development, and instructional strategy. Brittany immerses herself in the content and adopts the learner’s perspective to design inclusive, accessible, and skills-based learning experiences that meet both individual and organizational goals.

Over the past 15 years, Brittany has led the development of new online courses and programs, and has successfully transformed traditional instructor-led, face-to-face courses into dynamic and engaging online learning experiences. Her work includes the integration of digital learning tools, multimedia elements, and interactive strategies to foster engagement and knowledge transfer in both asynchronous and synchronous formats. She has extensive experience creating demonstrations and simulations that support experiential learning and allow learners to apply theory in practical, meaningful ways.

In addition to her design work, Brittany teaches two online courses in the Instructional Design Certificate program through St. Lawrence College and OntarioLearn, where she supports emerging instructional designers in applying best practices in digital learning development and design. She also contributes to the advancement of the instructional design field as a Board Member of the Canadian Association of Certified Instructional Designers (ACCP-CAID).
